Sam Randolph, Jr., caddied, worked and learned to play golf at La Cumbre Country Club in Santa Barbara, California, where his father, Sam Randolph, Sr., was the Head Golf Professional for 38 years. Sam enjoyed a very successful Junior Golf career, winning the California State Junior Championship and the Junior World Championship in 1981. He went on the play college golf at the University of Southern California. He was a 4-year All-American, winning 12 collegiate events. He was College Player of the Year and won the United States Amateur Championship in 1985. He was the Low Amateur in the 1985 and 1986 Masters. Sam qualified for the PGA Tour on his first try in the fall of 1986. He won the Bank of Boston Classic in 1987, his rookie season. Sam played the PGA Tour from 1987- 1992 and then played the Web.com Tour from 1993- 2002 with several runner-up finishes. He became a Member of the PGA of America in 1991 and has become a real student of the game over the years. Understanding how human bio mechanics and the laws of physics apply to golf is the direction we are going.
